That’s the minimum any visit costs. Everything else is just as straight.
No hourly meter ticking, no “parking and congestion extra”, no number that grows on the invoice. Here’s exactly how I price every job — and you’ll always have your price before I start.
Minimum call-out
The floor for any visit, however quick — it covers getting to you and doing the job. A dripping tap, a swapped socket, a blind that’s given up: usually all inside it. Five-minute fix? Add another job to the visit and get the value back.
Fixed-price jobs
Jobs I’ve done hundreds of times get a flat number: £120 for a two-door wardrobe, from £110 to hang a door, from £90 for a TV with hidden cables. The number I quote is the number you pay.
Day rate
For lists and larger jobs. Where it lands in the range depends on the work — laser days and heavy carpentry sit higher than a day of odd jobs. Confirmed before we book the day, never after.

*£50 minimum call-out applies to any visit. Every “from” price is confirmed once I’ve seen your photo — before I arrive, not after.
What actually moves a price
Third-floor flat with no lift, or a light fitting above a stairwell — more time, more kit, and I’ll say so in the quote.
Seized fittings, painted-over screws and “creative” previous repairs add time. I’ll price what I can see and tell you the moment I find a surprise — before it costs you anything.
At cost, receipts included, zero mark-up. Use what you’ve bought or I’ll collect on the way.
The travel’s paid once, so every job you add to a visit is cheaper than booking it alone. The best-value booking I do is the whole-list day.
If I find something mid-job that changes the price, the tools go down and we talk first. In ten years nobody has opened my invoice and found a number they hadn’t already agreed to. That’s the whole pricing policy, and it’s why 50+ reviews say five stars.

Pricing questions
Why a £50 minimum call-out?
Because getting to you, parking, and doing even a small job properly takes real time — and because it keeps me honest: no incentive to stretch a five-minute fix into an hour. Most customers bundle two or three jobs into the visit and it stops feeling like a minimum at all.
Is the quote really fixed?
Yes — once I’ve seen a photo and quoted, that’s the number. The only exception is a genuine hidden surprise (rot behind a panel, a seized valve), and then we talk before anything continues.
How do I get an exact price?
WhatsApp a photo of the job to 07505 012233 with a sentence about what you want. You’ll have a confirmed price usually within the hour.
How do you take payment?
Bank transfer or cash on completion, when you’re happy. Landlords and agents get invoices from Call Mr Fix It Services Ltd, with a monthly option for regular work.
Do you charge for quotes?
Photo quotes are free, always. The £50 applies to visits, not to telling you what something costs.
Want your number?
Photo plus one sentence equals a confirmed price, usually within the hour.
